Progress is rife with beauty, discomfort, and transformation, and each element of the Symphony of Progress Series is intended to capture individual stages in the journey.
Done on a purple-wash background, each color and design within Symphony of Progress represent abstracted components of the transition.

Departing from my typical color pallet, The Elements is an abstract representation of the four elements (center top to left: air, earth, fire, and water.)
In an attempt to get back to the origins of creation, this piece demonstrates both the form and function of these elements.
Their placement indicates that the four of them come together to offer us endless possibilities of existence.

Spring in Fall I is a part of a four-part series in which I attempt to illustrate the beauty of the seasons blending into one another. As a person who struggles with Seasonal Affective Disorder (and generally being a melanated person living in a cooler climate), it's important for me to hold on to what feels warm and light in the cooler months.
This piece reminds me that cooler colors can still be beautiful and that I can take my time and continue to make progress even outside of my peak season.

Growing up in the 90’s, I loved the textures and colors of the fashion – especially Coogi sweaters.
To me, Coogi Sweaters were the tapestry of wealth. The look and the feel of the sweaters felt like storytelling in fabric.
The repeating patterns of Coogi Carnival represent the cycles of life. There are bright times and dark times, but they all make up the story of our lives.
I have always been in love with flowers of all types - how they look and make me feel.
Elemental Flower was created as a study for a larger painting where I plan to explore and decompose flowers.
