About the CREATE Festival
CREATE Fest is an annual outdoor celebration of the artists, makers, and small-business owners who make Detroit's creative community what it is.
The festival was born out of a milestone. When Dr. Chanel Beebe reached six years of curating at The Congregation Detroit, it felt like the right moment to mark the occasion with something the community could take part in. CREATE Fest was that celebration, and it has been a yearly tradition ever since.
Rooted in Dr. Beebe's curatorial work at The Congregation, CREATE Fest is a gathering designed to connect people with the creators in their own city, to put names and faces to the work, and to give makers a platform to share what they have been building.
Every year, a curated mix of vendors fills the outdoor space at The Congregation with art, handmade goods, services, and energy that reflects the depth and diversity of Detroit's creative community.
This is not just a market.
It is a homecoming for the people who pour into this city every single day.
Come out, explore, connect, and support the makers who are right here. 💛
