Artist Statement
Done with traditional acrylic paint, high flow acrylic and acrylic paint pens, "Taste and See" is an abstract depiction of the sense of sight and taste. In addition to abstract illustrations of a tongue and eyes, this piece is riddled with Adinkra symbols that represent wisdom, history and patience and reconciliation. This piece is intended to describe the pervasive nature of these two senses in determining our collective decision making and the importance in being intentional about how we allow ourselves to be entertained and nourished.
